Recall that books itself
- Hi Asha, it's been 6 months since your last cleaning at Smile Dental - you're due for a check-up. Reply with a day that suits you.
- next tuesday evening
- Here's what's open on Tue 14 Oct:

How a recall runs
- Staff mark the visit done (the amount collected is optional).
- The patient's next due date is set from the service, e.g. cleaning: 180 days.
- A week before (you choose), the first invitation goes out; two gentle reminders follow if there's no answer.
- The patient replies with a day; the assistant shows open times with the right doctor and books it.
- The recall shows as booked; the appointment is attributed to recall on the revenue dashboard.
Recall vs reactivation
Recall is for patients on a routine schedule (check-ups, hygiene, periodontal maintenance). Reactivation is for patients who haven't been in for a long time, usually 12 months or more. Nomisly keeps them as two lists so the wording fits: a friendly "your check-up is due" versus a "we'd love to see you again" campaign that you approve first.
WhatsApp rules, handled
A recall invitation is usually the first message in weeks, so WhatsApp only allows a Meta-approved template outside its 24-hour window. You map one template to follow-ups once; consent, quiet hours and per-patient message caps are applied automatically, and anyone who replies STOP is never messaged again.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work without a practice-management system?
Yes. Nomisly's own calendar is the record: recall dates come from the visits you mark done. Integrations with practice-management systems aren't available yet.
How many reminders does a patient get?
At most three (day 0, day 3, day 10 by default), and it stops as soon as they book, reply, opt out or a team member takes over the chat.
Can I invite one patient right now?
Yes, the Recall page has an "Invite now" button next to each patient who is due.
What if the patient asks a clinical question?
The assistant never gives medical advice; the question becomes a task for your team and the patient is told someone will reply.
