Do reminders really reduce no-shows?
A Cochrane systematic review of randomised trials found that text-message reminders increase attendance at healthcare appointments compared with no reminder, with an effect similar to phone-call reminders (low-to-moderate certainty evidence). Nomisly's reminders are two-way, so a customer who can't come frees the slot for someone else instead of simply not showing up.
Booking rules you control
- Services with duration, price, buffer before and after, and which staff or rooms can deliver them.
- Minimum notice, maximum days ahead, daily caps and slot intervals.
- Holidays and one-off closures.
- Server-side validation: a slot is re-checked at the moment of booking, so double bookings can't happen.
Frequently asked questions
Does it sync with Google Calendar?
Yes, two-way: Nomisly reads busy times from your calendar and writes confirmed bookings back. Microsoft Outlook sync is on the roadmap.
Can customers reschedule themselves?
Yes, by replying to the reminder or using the secure manage link in their confirmation.
When are reminders sent?
By default 24 hours and 2 hours before, adjustable per service, and never during the recipient's quiet hours.
I already use Fresha, Vagaro or Calendly. Can I keep it?
Yes. Connectors are being added for common booking tools; until then Nomisly can book into its own calendar and sync to Google Calendar.
