A cancelled slot, refilled
- Hi Neel, an earlier check-up appointment just opened at Smile Dental on Today, Wed 7 Oct, 17:30. Reply YES to take it.
- YES
- Done - you're booked for Check-up & cleaning on Wed 7 Oct, 17:30. See you then!

The sequence
- When staff mark a visit as a no-show, an hour later: "We missed you today. Would you like a new time?" A reply goes straight into booking.
- It stops at the first reply or booking; staff see the no-show on the patient's timeline.
- Reminders let patients reply 1 to confirm, 2 to reschedule (done in the chat) or 3 to cancel, so slots are freed in advance.
- A freed slot is offered to one waitlisted person at a time, best match first (preferred doctor, time of day, urgency). They have 30 minutes (you choose) to reply YES; otherwise it moves to the next person. The database guarantees no double booking.
Frequently asked questions
Won't customers find no-show messages annoying?
The tone is friendly and the sequence stops at two messages or at the first reply. You can edit the wording per industry.
How is a no-show detected?
A staff member marks the booking as a no-show from the calendar; the rebooking message follows automatically.
Can I require a deposit?
Not yet. Payment deposits are on the roadmap; today you can require that you confirm each booking yourself.
