Open Knowledge Format (OKF)

An open markdown-based specification from Google Cloud for describing knowledge as typed, linked concepts.

Last updated:

OKF represents knowledge as a folder of markdown files with YAML frontmatter; only a `type` is required, with optional title, description, tags, sources (provenance), verification records (trust) and lifecycle fields such as status and stale_after. Version 0.2 was published in July 2026.

Structured, dated, verifiable concepts make retrieval more predictable than arbitrary text chunks; Nomisly stores business knowledge this way.
