How WhatsApp pricing works in 2026
- Meta charges per delivered message, by category (marketing, utility, authentication) and the recipient's country.
- From 1 October 2026, free-form service replies inside the 24-hour window are billable per message at the utility rate of the market.
- Conversations started from click-to-WhatsApp ads or Facebook Page CTAs keep a 72-hour free entry-point window for message delivery.
- Utility and authentication rates get cheaper at higher monthly volumes; marketing and service don't.
- Rates change at most quarterly.

- Keep automated replies short: one question per message still wins, but avoid three messages where one will do.
- Connect your own WhatsApp Business Account so there's no reseller markup.
Frequently asked questions
Are these the official prices?
The defaults are a snapshot for estimating. Meta's official rate card is the only authoritative source and changes quarterly; edit any rate in the calculator.
Is there a free allowance?
Meta's non-template pricing documentation does not list a free monthly allowance for service messages from 1 October 2026; some providers report one. Check your WhatsApp Manager billing page.
Do platforms add a markup?
Many resellers add a markup to Meta's rates. With your own account connected to Nomisly, Meta bills you directly with no Nomisly markup.
